Greetings from your 3commas Team!
It’s been an exciting year and since launch we’ve delivered a powerful trading terminal with many features that are not available on centralized crypto exchanges. The 3commas trade automation tools allow you to manage risk, achieve profits and continuously learn as part of our great community.
Thank you for your continuous support and more importantly constant feedback. Telegram / Email notifications and transaction status, statistics on transactions, automatic rebalancing of portfolios, and more recently algorithmic trading strategies are just some examples of features co-developed by 3commas and YOU.
We are very excited to announce the release of a major new feature and update to our trading algorithm. Starting now, you will be able to create your OWN trading strategies and leverage algorithmic trading using TradingView indicators. Please continue reading and find out how to use this amazing new feature.
Why do I need personal signals?
The new custom trading signal capabilities may appear too complex for less experienced traders who find the current settings suitable. Experienced traders, however, will be able to leverage their knowledge and monetize it by creating powerful custom strategies that will be shared with the community. Copy -Trade is around the corner so everybody wins!
Here’s an example:
Test EMA Scalping Strategy on TradingView
Customize a trading Bot using EMA and SMA indicators - SCALPING
Due to volatility and price/action characteristics specific to crypto markets, “scalping” is one of the most popular and effective trading strategies. It is characterized by the frequency of transactions, the holding time of the position, the volume of the position itself and importantly the risk and profit potential in each transaction. Experienced traders have now the ability to apply the scalping strategy by selecting their own indicator(s) and leveraging 3commas to effectively execute it.
The following example shows how the Exponential Moving Average(EMA) indicator could be applied in creating a scalping bot (https://www.investopedia.com/terms/e/ema.asp):
- 12 exponential moving average (EMA)
- 26 exponential moving average (EMA)
- 55 simple moving average (SMA)
Open the long position when 12 EMA crosses UP 26 EMA, and 55 SMA remains below. Since this is scalping, in this example the timeframe will be 1 minute.
Open the "short" position when 12 EMA crosses DOWN 26 EMA, and 55 SMA remains above. Same 1-minute timeframe is used.
A simple, effective strategy that we can further customize:
Note: Just during the short time required to compile this guide we saw the bot opening and closing profitable long positions TWICE!
